Recommendations for a Clean, Healthy Home

Recommendation #1:  Make a commitment to yourself to get your home and carpets cleaned.  Give yourself the gift of a cleaner, healthier home.  The longer the carpets remain dirty, the sooner they'll wear out.  Plus the longer you have to breathe all the pollens, fungus, and chemicals and dust mites that live in your carpet.

Recommendation #2:  List your objectives.  How frequently do you want home cleaning service?  Do you want to work with an honest, reputable company -- or are you willing to risk working with the company that offers you the lowest price -- knowing that company might not be in business tomorrow.  Do you want a long-term relationship with a company that allows you to build trust, and therefore you don’t have to be home when they clean, or do you just want a “once and done” service provider.

Recommendation #3:  Ask questions.  The way you learn about a company is to ask specific questions and listen carefully to the answers.  Here are the questions I suggest you ask:

1.  How long have the cleaning technicians assigned to my home been working with you?
2.  Are your vacuum cleaners equipped with HEPA filters?
3.  How does your company handle breakage or damages caused by cleaning techs?
4.  How often should I get my house cleaned?
5.  What is your Guarantee specifically, and is it limited?
6.  Are you a member of ARCSI?
7.  What are your limits of coverage for insurance?

Recommendation #4:  Once you're satisfied that you're working with an honest, competent professional, invite them into your home and ask for a specific quotation in writing.  A written quotation gives you the assurance that you know exactly what your job will cost, and what is included, with no surprises.

By following these four recommendations, you'll gain all the information you need to make an informed, intelligent decision.
